The daily grind of the rumour mill has turned back to Robert Green today, with the Daily Express linking the England international with a switch to Charlton.
Alan Curbishley is reported to be planning a clear-out at the Valley, and has been linked with City star Dean Ashton as well as Green. Nigel Worthington has already had Kevin Lisbie on loan from the Addicks and failed narrowly with a bid for Francis Jeffers.
According to the Express, Curbishley is prepared to offer a deal worth around £3million for Green, which would include cash plus one or more players. With the Academy graduate keen to cement his place in Sven Goran Eriksson's plans for the World Cup, and City's transfer funds apparently spent after the capture of Dickson Etuhu, the deal might be attractive to Norwich.
