With Norwich finally starting to fulfill pre-season expectations of success in the Championship, another summer topic, the transfer of Dean Ashton, has begun to habitually rear its head.
Today's newspaper's have the former Crewe man heading to Charlton Athletic, where manager Alan Curbishley is preparing a cull of his squad to be able to afford the England Under-21 star.
The Daily Mirror have Ashton rated at £7.5million and believe the likes of Dennis Rommedahl, Jonatan Johansson, Jason Euell and former Carrow Road loanee Kevin Lisbie on their way out of The Valley in order to finance the deal.
Curbishley, however, is also being linked with a move for Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson, who would surely prove a better foil for Darren Bent. They hint as well that Stuart Pearce's Manchester City would be involved in any bidding for Norwich's prize asset, who has helped the club to victory in their last four fixtures.
