With now official word from either Carrow Road or Upton Park on a widely reported bid of £7million to take Dean Ashton to East London, Norwich have again been linked with an ambitious bid for Cardiff City striker Cameron Jerome.
Jerome, 19, who has been the subject of several large bids from Sheffield United, has been valued at his club at £3.5million to ward off interest. Clubcall, however, believe that Nigel Worthington will offer a £2million down payment on the youngster, with fees rising to the asking price attached to various conditions.
It is not known how much money the Canaries boss has at his disposal, but the bid would be larger than the one made for Clinton Morrison in the summer.
