Ashton, however, insists he has a major part to play in trying to help Norwich back to the top-flight at the first attempt.
"I'll be here," he told the club's official website.
"I haven't heard anything and I've managed to keep my head down and not see too much transfer speculation.
"I'm fully focused and concentrating on getting back fit for the new season."
