West Bromwich Albion midfield man Darren Carter looks set for a move to East Anglia with Norwich and Ipswich linked with loan swoops for the former Birmingham man.
Carter, who scored the decisive penalty in the Division One play-off final in 2002 to deny Nigel Worthington's Norwich promotion to the Premiership, moved from St Andrews to the Hawthorns for £1.5million two years ago. He has a year left on his contract but could be pushed out by Tony Mowbray's new signing from Middlesbrough, James Morrison.
Peter Grant is known to be keen to add another midfielder to his squad before the Championship season kicks off at Preston on Saturday.
