City are thought to be one of 'four or five clubs' keen on the signature of League One's top scorer, Billy Sharp.
Sharp, formerly of Sheffield United, hit 32 goals to fire Scunthorpe into the Championship, but looks likely to be facing his former club when the new season begins.
The 21-year-old is valued by Irons chairman Steve Wharton at over £2million and, while Preston, Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday are all supposed to be interested, it is believed the only offer on the table is from Peter Grant's Canaries.
Sharp could form a formidable partnership with similarly prolific Robert Earnshaw, who bagged 19 goals in just 28 starts for Norwich this term.
