Glenn Roeder could bolster his thin defensive options massively with a double swoop on Fulham's Craven Cottage.
According to The Sun website, City have agreed an undisclosed fee for veteran defender Dejan Stefanovic. The ex-Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday man, who can play anywhere across the back, was first linked at the weekend.
In addition, Roeder is also said to be close to agreeing a loan move for Elliot Omozusi. the Hackney-born defender has played nine times for the Cottagers but the 19-year-old is now deemed surplus to requirements following the capture of John Pantsil from West Ham in another double deal including Bobby Zamora yesterday.
Omozusi, an England under-19 international, plays at right back. He was sent off in the victory over Reading last November but returned for the trip to Old Trafford and also faced Newcastle and Chelsea.
