Norwich City have been linked with an ambitious move for NAC Breda forward Maceo Rigters, although he is expected to sign for Glasgow giants Celtic.
Rigters, top scorer in the recent European Under-21 Championships, is available for just £400,000 and, with money to spend following the sale of Robert Earnshaw, the Canaries are rivalling Celtic for the youngster's signature.
The player's agent, Tom Smit, says that the Bhoys are way ahead, but also admitted that Norwich are the only other club in the running, despite reports linking the player to Blackburn, Newcastle and Rangers. He is expected in Scotland on Tuesday, with City fans hoping talks with Gordon Strachan fail miserably.
