Having failed to secure back-up for one and only left-back Adam Drury during the transfer window, Nigel Worthington is poised to bring in unknown Everton full-back Pat Boyle.
Boyle, 19, has been linked by the Sun newspaper to a switch to Carrow Road. The length and terms of the deal have not been revealed.
Worthington is desperate to add numbers to his thin squad and was rebuffed this week in a bid to bring in highly-rated and versatile Tottenham and England under-21 man Tom Huddlestone. The Norwich boss has yet to admit defeat in his chase for the former Derby youngster, who starred in Wolves' win over the Canaries at the end of last leason while on loan at the Molineux club.
