Nigel Worthington's long search for a target man striker to partner Rob Earnshaw appears to be at least temporarily over after Dion Dublin, who began his career at Carrow Road, signed on a free transfer.
Dublin, who starred for Cambridge United, Manchester United, Coventry City, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Celtic during a career which also saw him earn full international recognition with England, agreed a deal to stay at Norwich until the end of the season.
The 37-year-old has been given the number 9 shirt by Nigel Worthington, but is ready to fill in at centre back if required. He has been training with Leicester since being released by Celtic in the summer.
