While the bookmakers list Mark Bowen, Kevin Blackwell, Alex McLeish and Martin Hunter as the favourites to take over at Norwich, only one of these names features in local press reports about Nigel Worthington's successor.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, Bowen has not been approached, Blackwell is not in the frame, and McLeish is not interested. Hunter is competing against former City midfielder Ian Crook, who flew in from Asutralia this week, fellow former Canary Peter Grant, assistant to Alan Pardew at West Ham, and ex-Doncaster boss Dave Penney.
