Queens Park Rangers could find themselves disappointed in their efforts to sign Latvian defender Kaspar Gorkss.
The Blackpool defender, 27, is available for £250,000 but, despite having reached the advanced stages of a move to Loftus Road, Seasiders chairman Karl Oyston does not like the way the Rs have gone about the bid and is refusing to rubber-stamp a transfer.
The Blackpool Gazette reports that this has opened the door for Norwich, originally linked with a double swoop for Gorkss and Wes Hoolahan, who made his canaries bow last night, to step back in.
Glenn Roeder needs back-up in defence and has been linked with Newcastle's Tamas Kadar and Fulham pair Dejan Stefanovic and Elliot Omozusi in recent days.
