Iain Dowie's Queens Park Rangers are in pole position to sign Latvian defender Kaspars Gorkss from Championship rivals Blackpool, according to our sources.
Gorkss, 26, is reportedly in London undergoing a medical with the Loftus Road outfit with a view to completing a £250,000 move.
The former Ventspils defender has been linked with a number of sides in the second tier, including Blackpool's Lancashire rivals Preston North End, as well as Glenn Roeder's Norwich, Ipswich Town and Watford.
