Next season's reserve schedule for Norwich City's second string begins against Luton Town, but canaries boss Peter Grant does not believe the overall standard will be sufficiently challenging for players on the fringe of his first team.
Grant has a number of Academy graduates around his squad, including goalkeeper Joe Lewis, brothers Rossi and Ryan Jarvis and Andrew Cave-Brown who recently represented Scotland in the under-19 World Cup. In order to aid their development, the Norwich boss will strive to find suitable homes for them lower down the Coca Cola League.
Cave-Brown has been linked to a loan deal north of the border, while Rossi Jarvis spent time last term with Torquay and Ryan Jarvis with Leyton Orient. Lewis went to Stockport and could face a similar move this term.
"I'm not going to baby-sit players and keep them for the sake of keeping them round the place," said Grant. "There's no doubt in my mind the boys will be going out on loan. It's a matter of making sure that they get the right work in, but I don't want them going to another club who do it completely different."
