Two former England managers have been ruled out of the running to become the new manager of Norwich City.
Fresh from Kevin Keegan's entirely expected pronouncement that he won't be tempted back into management, Glenn Hoddle, more recently a manager and that at Championship level, has also fallen out of contention.
Hoddle is one of a group of out of work managers, including Peter Reid and now with John Gregory back among their number, touted for every job at Championship level. His agents, Sport Entertainment and Media Group, described reports in the weekend's News of the World as 'nonsense'.
One ex-England boss still in with a shout is Peter Taylor, recently sacked by Crystal Palace, while Paul Jewell, represented by the same agency as Hoddle, is still officially a potential candidate. His base in the North West and reports linking him with Bolton make the move unlikely, however.
