Glenn Roeder's pursuit of new recruits continues apace with various newspapers linking the Canaries with a bid for Scunthorpe striker Martin Paterson.
Paterson, not to be confused with new Norwich midfielder Matty Pattison, is Scunthorpe's top goalscorer and Roeder is thought to have tabled an £850,000 bid which has been turned down by the Iron.
Norwich previously negotiated with Scunthorpe over the possible purchase of Billy Sharp in the summer, with the target at that stage preferring a return to Bramhall Lane with his first club Sheffield United. It appears unlikely from reports in Lincolnshire that Chairman Steve Wharton or manager Nigel Adkins will be keen to see Paterson leave.
