Norwich were impressive throughout during a hard fought 4th round tie at Carrow Road last night.
Two headed goals early in the second half from Lee Blackburn and Matthew Halliday defeated one of the favourites for the competition in Sheffield United.
Impressive performances came from Lee Blackburn, Robert Eagle and a hard working display from Danny Crow was also encouraging.
Over 1,400 people turned up to cheer the Canaries to victory in what was a very exciting night for all the players. Academy director Sammy Morgan admits the prospect of playing Manchester United is one which excites him and the players themselves.
"The lads are really looking forward to going to Manchester United and giving a good account of themselves," he said. "It will be a tough challenge – but a tough challenge is something that we can cope with, as we proved tonight.
"Sheffield United came here with a big reputation but I thought we more than matched them on the footballing front and also stood up to them on the physical side as well. It was vital that we fought our corner out there tonight, and that's exactly what we did.
"Everyone played their part – and I don't think there is any doubt that the best team won on the night."
