Another potential Norwich signing has completed a move eslewhere, with West Ham defender Elliott Ward moving to the Ricoh Arena in a £1million deal.
Ward, brother of Crystal Palace's Darren who was also targeted by Nigel Worthington, impressed in the Hammers' promotion season before being usurped in the heart of Alan Pardew's defence by Wales international Daniel Gabbidon. He was loaned back to the Championship with Plymouth last term.
Ward's signing continues a busy summer for Sky Blues boss Micky Adams, becoming his fifth signing so far. Norwich have failed to bring in anyone since the transfer window re-opened, but Worthington has urged patience.
