Glenn Roeder's main transfer target, Birmingham's former Carrow Road loanee Martin Taylor, could be a target for East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town.
The Tractor Boys, flush from a recent takeover, could be ready to bid the £1million asking price for Taylor, 28, who is thought to have rejected a move to QPR in favour of holding out for a return to Norwich.
Roeder is thought to have a bid of £750,000 on the table for the 6 foot 4 inch centre back, the need for whom is more evident since the transfer of Valentin Iliev has apparently collapsed over work permit complications.
