Crook, assistant to Terry Butcher at Sydney FC, has a strong reputation down under but still has family in Norfolk, where he made over 400 appearances for the Canaries.
The 43-year-old has been touted as part of a management team with ex-teammate Mark Bowen, with whom he acknowledged he remains good friends.
