City defender Jason Shackell will be absent from the final match of the season as he begins his recuperation from ankle surgery.
Shackell, who has struggled with injuries thrughout a stop-start season in which he has intermittently impressed, went under the knife with the aim of clearing up the troubled area once and for all.
Canaries physio Neal Reynolds said the operation was planned to allow the centre back the best possible chance to be raring to go for the start of next season.
"He's only 22 and he's got a long career ahead of him so we decided to do as much as we could in the off-season," said Reynolds. "There's no reason at all why jason should not be fully fit in time for next season."
