Supporters' crown taken away

Sheffield Wednesday have been officially named as the best supported side outside the Premiership after it was discovered that one of Norwich's figures was mis-reported.

City's clash with Hull was logged at 27,470, when the actual attendance was 24,470. This meant that the Owls aggregated 20 more supporters per match when re-calculations were done.

The Canaries can still take pride, however, in having a higher average attendance than Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Portsmouth and Wigan Athletic, all of whom remain in the top flight.
