Figures from backgrounds as distinct as the lower divisions and international football are being touted as contenders to succeed Nigel Worthington as Norwich boss.
Former Doncaster manager Dave Penney has been quoted as saying that he is on the look out for a new post, while Northern Ireland chief Lawrie Sanchez has also been mentioned.
It is Kevin Blackwell, recently of Leeds United, who is now among the favourites with the bookmakers behind leading candidate Mark Bowen. Bowen is thought to be highly valued by his current employers Blackburn, however, and obtaining his services may prove tricky.
