Norwich boss Glenn Roeder completed his first permanent signing since joining the Canaries when he secured the services of Matty Pattison on a three and-a-half-year contract.
The South-African born midfielder, 21, has been a revelation since joining on loan in November, with his competitive presence and eye for a killer pass contributing massively to City's unbeaten run. he was due to be out of contract at St James' Park at the end of the season and, as he does not feature in Sam Allardyce's plans, has been allowed to leave the North East for an undisclosed fee.
Pattison has been cleared to play in this afternoon's FA Cup Third Round clash with Bury.
