Glenn Roeder's indecision over the purchase of defender Martin Taylor may lead to Norwich missing out on the Birmingham man.
There has been a £750,000 bid on the table for the lanky centre back but, with Birmingham's Karen Brady holding out for a £1million fee and a change of manager and the loss of players in the position because of terminated loans and the African Nations Cup, the move has been held up.
Now Tony Mowbray and Mick McCarthy will try to tempt Brady and Taylor with a larger bid and the promise of an easy relocation within the West Midlands.
