Southend United have accepted an undisclosed bid from Wolves for their prize asset, Freddy Eastwood.
Eastwood has interested Charlton and Norwich, who had a bid rejected last week, but has been valued at close to £3million by Shrimpers chairman Ron Martin.
Mick McCarthy is flush with cash after investment in the Molineux club from Steve Morgan , while Alan Pardew and Peter Grant have had their respective coffers boosted by the sales of Darren Bent and Robert Earnshaw.
Only McCarthy has seen fit to match Southend's valuation, however, while the future of another coveted striker, Billy Sharp, also remains undecided despite numerous seven figure bids for the Scunthorpe man.
