Worthington told the Daily Record: "It's beyond my belief how Scotland can't consider Malky or Gary. They are hurt and frustrated and rightly so.
"Given the state of the international scene up there, they are both good, solid pros who would give their all. Players who give you that are worth their weight in gold.
"Of course, it's up to the manager, but if I was in his position and I was trying to help myself, I would put myself out a bit and go and have a look at what the boys can do."
