"We suffered a knock-back with the early goal but came back very brightly to pick up a good point," the Canaries boss said after the 1-1 draw at St Andrews.
"When it was 1-0 I always thought we could get something from the game.
"Following our first win of the season against Southampton I think this could be the turn in our fortunes.
"I have good players and a good team. It was a case of getting the side to settle down in the second half and we were rewarded with a good away point.
"It means that we are still in contact with all the teams in the mini-league at the bottom of the table and while you are in touch with these sides you have a chance of survival."
