Having failed to secure the right players on permanent deals during the transfer window, Norwich boss Nigel Worthington will be looking to pull off another loan coup when the window within the window opens tomorrow.
The Canaries are already hoping to finalise the three month loan of Derby goalkeeper Lee Camp as back up and competition for Paul Gallacher, and will be looking at other new faces.
Three years ago, Worthington secured Darren Huckerby and Peter Crouch on short term deals that showed tremendous ambition and ultimately gave the team the momentum to power them to the title.
"Ideally I would love to have a Huckerby and Crouch situation," Worthington told the club's official website. "Not necessarily in those positions, but to go and bring some experienced players in and add to the group because I think that would be good."
No names have yet been mentioned, but it was known during the summer that Worthington had been in touch with Arsenal's Pat Rice about borrowing some young members of the North London club's squad. With several players already at Championship rivals Derby and Birmingham, however, there are few left. One who would surely fit the bill would be Frenchman Jeremie Aliadiere, who has had limited first team opportunities at the Emirate Stadium and been loaned to Celtic, West Ham and Wolves in recent times.
