Youngster to move north of the border

A second young Canary could be set to fly north of the border as Kurtis Byrne, a promising striker, negotiated his release from his Carrow Road contract.

Byrne looks likely to follow Ryan Jarvis to Scotland, with Jarvis having signed on loan with Kilmarnock last week. Hibernian have had the 17-year-old on a trial, during which he scored against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in an under-19 match.

The Republic of Ireland under-19 player joined Norwich from Cherry Orchard. His father Paul is a former Celtic player.
