The winning goal came in the second half from Craig Reid after Michael Spillane gave away a free kick.
The defeat came on the back of a 5-0 hiding from Spurs, but the bright side was the comeback of defender Jason Shackell, who lasted 73 minutes of the match and should now come back into contention for a first team recall.
